The Asprogia – Kannaviou Dam is located on the outskirts of Kannaviou village, which lies in the Paphos District of Cyprus.

The construction of the dam began in September 2000 and was completed in March 2005. The dam was officially opened on 23 November 2007.

The cost of the Asprogia – Kannaviou Dam was CYP 17.5 Million (17.5 Million Cyprus Pounds) and was financed by the Cyprus Government.

The operation and maintenance of the dam is the responsibility of the Cyprus Water Development Department.

The catchment area is 56 square kilometres and the reservoir area is 927,118 square metres.

The Asprogia – Kannavou Dam is a Concrete Face Rockfill Dam and has a capacity of 18,000,000 cubic metres.

The dam is built to a height of 75 metres and has a crest length of 565 metres.
