The most distinguished feature of the church is it’s 3 aisled edifice. The church has 3 round arches on the roof above each aisle, leading to a tower.

The original church was destroyed in an earthquake in 1953 and was rebuilt to it’s former glory in 1956. The many old frescoes kept in the church were destroyed in the earthquake.
